2021 Tampa Bay Top Workplace Winners!!
We started April off with a wonderful acknowledgement—CES won the 2021 Tampa Bay Top Workplaces Award for the 8th time! It’s a very cool award to win because our employees vote and so the win comes from what our own employees say. We have a great working environment and culture here at Consumer Energy Solutions and our employees genuinely appreciate the opportunities available to them. Every time we win this award it seems to bring the family that is the team here closer together. The good news is we are on a full push to hire and welcome new folks to the family. So, anyone interested in checking it out for themselves can email us at hrassistant@cesstaff.com.
Amazing Barbeque for CES Employees
Here is a case-in-point regarding CES culture. In March we had a production target and surpassed it. As a thank you CES provided an amazing BBQ for all employees. The menu included cheeseburgers and hotdogs with all the fixins, barbequed chicken strips, potato salad, macaroni salad, Caesar salad, baked beans, fruit, chips, fun desserts, and drinks—all you could eat. We LOVE ourselves a good Florida barbeque!!
St. Petersburg ArtWalk Second Saturday
Our dear friend Bula Barua participated in the St. Petersburg April ArtWalk Second Saturday event. We attended and documented this event from the Bula Barua Gallery at 212 Second Street North, St. Petersburgh, Florida.
The creations from Bula herself are works of undeniable beauty. She does unique blown glass on canvas, gems on canvas, florals on aluminum and textured paper. She uses Swarovski crystals, 24 Karat gold, silver, crushed mica, precious gems and high-end resins in her art. These mediums are unusual and spectacularly colored. She has perfected the use of color in her work and it is easy to become spellbound as you stroll through her gallery.
During the ArtWalk she invited two other local artists to display their art in her gallery—Debbie Bright and Ryann Liebl. And music was provided by the sweet Jamicheal from Studio 131, the location of his company Soul City, in Largo. The flavor of this event can be seen in this video showcasing Bula and her guests at the Second Saturday ArtWalk.
There are many other reasons CES loves Bula so much. One reason is that Bula loves to give back. The same day of the St. Petersburg ArtWalk, Bula helped out the Heels to Heal charity as they put on their annual fashion show in St. Petersburg. (Find out more about them at https://heelstoheal.org)
These folks are dedicated to helping survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence receive the resources necessary for healing. To do her part, Bula invited Melissa Mihok, one of the founding members, to choose a painting. She chose Bula’s painting called “Heroes” because she said she thinks of the women who come to Heels to Heal for help as heroes who are fighting to take their lives back and become strong. Bula did a version of this original painting, changing the purple heart in the painting to a purple lotus flower—which is the logo of Heels to Heart. The painting was auctioned for $1,500 and presented to a lovely couple who attended.
In March 2021 Bula was featured in the St. Pete Life Magazine as part of their Women in Business segment.
CES loves to support and even partner with individuals and groups who are doing positive, uplifting things in the community. Bula is definitely one of those people! We at CES salute you!
