CES and about 90 enthusiastic golfers returned to the prestigious Innisbrook Resort’s South Course recently after an unwanted hiatus in 2020! We came together for the 8th annual fundraiser to benefit Clearwater’s Community Learning Center.
The CLC Tutoring Center serves underprivileged families in the area offering tutoring services and their CLC Academy provides private school opportunities for grades K through 8.
The day was a beautiful relatively cool fall day in Florida. A few clouds but lots of breaks with glorious sunshine.
Registration got underway early in the morning—it was still dark. A shotgun tee-off was right on time at 8:30 am. The day proved to be loaded with “highest evers.” We had more players than ever before, more sponsors than ever and as a fundraiser our goal is to make money. The last time we did this, in 2019, we raised a highest ever of $44,000 for Community Learning Center. This year deserves a big drum roll…. we raised over $58,000!!
CES had a great foursome in the game and volunteers as well. We sponsored a tee, we participated in the raffle and we helped make the event a big success.
Festival of Trees Brings an Early Christmas To CES!
CES is a proud supporter of the Arc Tampa Bay Foundation. This is a wonderful organization dedicated to securing the financial future of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their largest fundraiser every year is the Festival of Trees.
For the fourth year in a row CES has sponsored a tree in the Festival of Trees. You pick up a 3-foot, 4-foot or 7-foot tree from the Arc Tampa Bay Foundation, you decorate it and you bring it to them. Their staff pick the top 3 winners in each category of tree. The trees are then priced, and the event is then opened to the public who can come in, walk through this winter wonderland, and then purchase the tree of their choice.
Our beautiful tree was flanked by many spectacular creations. It’s well worth the visit. Check out more about the Arc Tampa Bay Foundation and the Festival of Trees at their website:

Here’s our own tree in the 4-foot category—it’s like a little Christmas explosion! It’s called “The Magic of a Candlelit Christmas.”
