The month of March was filled with growth and activity.
Our CES Volunteer Team has been really growing and we are super happy to be an active part of our neighborhood and beyond. As part of an active community volunteer force, we contribute our help by assisting with drug education and supporting other groups of good will.
We recently found a wonderful charitable organization called Wheelchairs4Kids. This amazing group helps children and adults with providing the proper type of wheelchair for their needs. They do so much more than that, and we attended their 5th annual Heroes luncheon.
Keynote speaker at the event was Thaddeus Bullard, AKA Titus O’Neill of WWE fame and former Florida Gators football star.
Listening to the kindness and compassion of Thaddeus and others from the organization was ultra-inspiring. We look forward to helping this great group to help others.
Be sure to check out their website and perhaps make a donation which will help greatly.
Why go it alone when you can be part of a team?
Each year our CES Volunteers help out with the ginormous Easter Egg Hunt, held in Clearwater Florida by the Clearwater Community Volunteers and co-sponsored by the Church of Scientology. This year was the 24th annual event. Many of our employees volunteered in many jobs at the event and many more attended with their families to enjoy a gorgeous Florida day.
Peter Cottontail was actually our own Nick Baird! He hopped to it, to ensure many children had a smile!
Be sure to check out the website for Clearwater Community Volunteers and if you can make a donation to them, you will be helping others, as they contribute to Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Nourish to Flourish program which feeds hungry children in our area.
Our CES garden plot began to produce many fresh organic greens and veggies at our Clearwater Community Gardens.
We had the pleasure of being part of the dedication and ribbon cutting of a new shelter and shed which was donated by Moss and Associates. The City of Clearwater also donated a few wooden picnic tables and bench sets to our project. Now we have a lovely shaded place for meetings and storage for our work tools.
