We believe in contributing to projects and assisting groups that work on important issues, especially when they concern youth and community survival. Keeping youth away from harmful drugs and educating others on the truth about drugs is truly something we focus on.

Making partners of those who really know their business and contribute to society in ways that are significant is important to us at CES.

One such organization is the Drug Free America Foundation (DFAF). DFAF, run by Executive Director, Amy Ronshausen, is an organization which is active in many aspects of drug prevention and drug policy internationally.

Recently I was invited to join DFAF in Vienna, Austria to attend the 63rd session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) and the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) at the United Nations.

While I was there, I learned so much about the procedures used in adopting sound drug policies internationally. I met many wonderful people who are global coordinators fighting the fight in the prevention of drug use and abuse among their citizens.

The entire field of prevention is so intricate and is changing around the world. It was incredible to learn effective methods and to be part of training sessions over the course of a week-long packed schedule at the United Nations.

DFAF hosted a 5-day training session which I was fortunate to be able to attend. Members from Argentina, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uganda, Vietnam, and the USA, became my friends.

So many diverse topics were covered including: having a global voice in drug policy, the impacts of drug legalization, community mobilization strategies, evidence-based prevention strategies, and becoming a prevention influencer.

We are truly honored to be in partnership with these international prevention heroes who are making a vital difference in saving lives around the world. We will always support and promote their good works and those of drug prevention, wherever you are!

Whatever country we are from, we have drug problems. There are people who go out of their comfort zones to truly effort to make good changes for their communities. I have always been one who enjoys making friends and working hard with those people.

Thank you to Drug Free America Foundation for including CES to be part of global prevention efforts. We are indeed honored to be your friends and pledge to work with you side-by-side whenever you need us.
