Our CES Volunteer Team has been growing and growing, taking on projects from neighborhood cleanups to tutoring children so as to improve their lot in life!

The results have not gone by unnoticed in our community.

The Community Learning Center has been helping children and families for many years. With tutoring and character building programs, with educational skills and life skills. CES has been a vital and active supporter of the CLC and all of its progress and expansion.

When the CLC opened its doors in new quarters a few years ago, CES was there to celebrate with the community, for 7,200 square feet of help and educational improvement for families. Now we were there to celebrate the exciting ribbon cutting event of an even more amazing facility! 7,200 square feet of fully renovated amazing, state of the art delivery space open to the community. Complete with nursery area, playroom and outdoor basketball court and play yard!

Many groups continue to enjoy the services of Community Learning Center for their youth. One such group is Team Florida, Offseason Football program. These student athletes show such promise with football and beyond!

Many of them are receiving personal tutoring from the CLC so that they can be eligible for college scholarship offers.  CES has been supporting this program and recently helped Team Florida go to a big championship challenge in Tallahassee.  WHICH They won!

As our CES volunteer team was enjoying a little National Volunteer month celebration and award party for our efforts in the community, Team Florida coach, BJ Hall came by to celebrate with us and to receive our sponsorship check.  We look forward to increasing our support for this great group of students with our Community Learning Center support and with helping them get to AAU Junior Olympics in Houston Texas.  This is a HUGE opportunity for these kids and for the state of Florida, as this has never happened before.  While on this trip, the students will visit colleges and get some great exposure which could result in scholarship offers!

Please look at Team Florida’s efforts and if you can support them, that would be wonderful!

Recently CES attended a wonderful volunteer appreciation dinner which featured many benevolent individuals who are part of the Charity Coalition group in Clearwater, sponsored by the Church of Scientology and hosted by the Historic Fort Harrison hotel.  The dinner was amazing and the awardees and speakers really inspired us to do our best to contribute to others.

Public Defender Bob Dillinger and wife Kay have an incredibly far-reaching non-profit called the Beth Dillinger Foundation.  Part of this foundation confronts the dire issue of feeding hungry children.  It’s called Nourish to Flourish.  Mr. Dillinger was the keynote speaker at this event and he spoke of the thousands of hungry children in our county who need our help.

CES employees continue to contribute to this cause by donating funds from their paychecks each week.  Recently we presented the Nourish to Flourish program with a check for $255 from our CES employees.
