Our CES for a Drug Free World team has been very creative in how it reaches the community with information concerning drugs. We have been working with Concerned Businessmen’s Association of Tampa Bay (CBA Tampa Bay) in getting THC Education Days happening in cities throughout our area. (THC-tetrahydrocannabinol, the principal psycho-active ingredient in marijuana.)
We have been asked to attend city council meetings to speak about our project and to receive the mayoral proclamations, deeming certain days as THC EDUCATION DAY in the various cities.
This education is vital, especially in current times, where THC levels have drastically risen in marijuana and after it is extracted using butane, can be upwards of 98% in strength. This oil is then used to infuse over 300 edible products, ranging from gummy bears, energy drinks, cotton candy, ice cream and many other everyday foods which often are very appealing to children. There is also the matter of vaporizer pens being used to inhale this incredibly psycho-active form of THC.
CBA Tampa Bay also has created two incredibly rewarding contests for schools and clubs and individuals to enter in hopes of taking home the $5,000 prize for their school or the top prize of $500 per individual.
This is a THC Education Contest and we hope that many Bay area schools and students will enter.

Synthetic drugs are becoming a juggernaut of addiction. We participated in a new Synthetic drugs coalition whereby good-willed people came together to learn the truth about synthetic drugs and decided to join forces so that we can be effective in our areas.
The event was held at the Foundation for a Drug Free World Center in Clearwater. The newest education booklet and documentary section on synthetic drugs is very powerful and informative. Be sure to check these out so that your information of these designer drugs which are so prominent in our communities, is up to date.
Please visit: https://www.drugfreeworld.org/drugfacts/synthetic.html to watch the documentary and for full online booklets, etc.
Also recently in participation with the United Nations on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking, #WorldDrugDay our CES staff joined together to sign a pledge to learn the truth about the harms connected with drugs and to help family and friends live drug-free.
Our friend from University of South Florida Police force also contacted us to receive materials from the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, so that he could use these effective materials for his incoming college freshmen, which he had to speak to about staying drug free while living on campus. I had met Officer Parker at an earlier event where we gave out many materials to law enforcement and educators.
We continue to partner with all who wish to help our youth live drug-free lives.
If you wish to contribute to this effort, please contact me, as I would love to work with you!
