Participation in events and activities which foster living well and assisting others in doing so is always on our agenda at Consumer Energy Solutions.

For four years CES has entered the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards. The extremely detailed application process involved reporting on all of the good deeds and community outreach we are a part of. After an independent panel of judges reviewed the application of hundreds of companies, CES has been an official FINALIST for four years running.

But this year turned out to be just a little different. How different? WE WON!!

In the category of “Big Companies,” meet your Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2016 Corporate Philanthropy WINNER—Consumer Energy Solutions!

You can only imagine how wonderful this is! We are all so excited to be acknowledged in this way by the United Way of the Suncoast, The Rays organization and Tampa Bay Business Journal at the impressive Raymond James Stadium.

This means everything to us! To be applauded and awarded for our efforts and partnering in helping others in the community and beyond, is something that brings us the most pride and shows us how needed our efforts are. This is exciting motivation to do even more this year!

CES SPONSORS THE 28th ANNUAL “SAY NO TO DRUGS HOLIDAY CLASSIC”

Each year CES is a proud sponsor of the Say No to Drugs Holiday Classic 5K 10K and 1M Fun Run.

This exciting holiday race event is extremely popular among runners of all levels and just about everyone else too! The famous pancake breakfast celebration at the end of the race is reason alone to come to the event!

CES has runners competing and volunteers helping to promote the race and to pull it off to great success, year after year.

This year, thousands ran in the three races and hundreds of volunteers came out to put on this incredible event. All in attendance take part in the most important message of living a healthy life and saying NO to drugs!

Our friendship and partnership with community groups and our city is paramount to us at CES and this year we invited our newest councilmember of the City of Clearwater, Dr. Bob Cundiff, to be a master of ceremonies. Bob is always happy to help and he did a great job, being a real crowd-pleaser as an announcer, with his humorous and friendly way.

CES GOLFS FOR A GREAT CAUSE!

Our CEO, Patrick J Clouden and his brother, our CES President, George Clouden, are avid golfers.

Whenever CES can help a good cause by participating in a charity golf tournament as a sponsor, volunteer or as a golf team, we are happy to join in.

Recently, we did all-of-the-above, for a great cause. Citizens Commission on Human Rights held their annual golf tournament fundraiser. CES stepped up with sponsorship, volunteering and two foursomes.

Weather-wise it was a perfect Florida day, and the event was a sold out success with over  $16,000 raised for this group whose work for human rights and for the protection against mental health abuses for all, is extremely courageous and ultra-vital to us all.

Please visit: www.cchrflorida.org for more information on the crucial watchdog activities and family support that CCHR provides.
